Kim Kardashian’s Unlucky Love Life: A Look Back at Her Exes

With the not-so-shocking confirmation that Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce from her husband of 72 days, we started thinking about the growing line of exes Kim leaves in her wake. Most people seem to forget that before she started romancing basketball player Kris Humphries eleven months ago, Kim had married before, and even though she tied the knot as a 19-year-old, it lasted a lot longer than this one. Here's a chronological look at the men leading up to Mr. Right-for-a-While Kris Humphries.

Damon Thomas

Eloping with music producer Damon Thomas (he's worked with Pink and Justin Timberlake) when she was just 19, Kim's first marriage lasted from 2000 until 2004—and that was bad news for her. According to the divorce documents, Kim alleged her husband was verbally and physically abusive, hitting her for the first time not long after marrying. She also says he demanded she get liposuction and tried to turn her against his family.

So even if Kris turned out to be a less than ideal life partner, it's a good guess she'll think of him more fondly than her explosive first husband.

Ray J

While working (yes, working) as a stylist for Brandy in 2004, Kim starts dating Brandy's younger brother Ray J. That ended when Ray J leaked a sex tape they made together in 2007. With the Kardashian name plastered across tabloid headlines, E! Network begins "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that year. Ray J now claims he "created" Kim's fame. Thanks, Ray J!

Reggie Bush

Kim started dating Reggie Bush, then a running back for the New Orleans Saints, soon after ditching her cinematically minded boyfriend. After meeting at the 2007 ESPY Awards, they go to Chipotle for their first date. They call it quits in July 2009 but get back together the following month… then break up for real in March of 2010. Or did they? (The Internet is buzzing with rumors that Kim met up with Reggie this last weekend.)

Miles Austin

Not long after she was caught canoodling with Portuguese footballer (read: soccer player) Cristiano Ronaldo for a hot second, Kim swaps numbers with the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver at a restaurant and the two date for a few months in 2010.

Gabriel Aubry

She dated Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend (and the father of Halle's daughter) for the month leading up to her fateful first meeting with Kris Humphries, who turned out to be The One… for eleven months.
