Britney Spears’ Sister Tweets Justin Timberlake, Drama Ensues

While Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's relationship didn't have a happily ever after ending, one person in their inner circle still has fond memories of their time together.

Jamie Lynn Spears was clearly feeling reminiscent on Thursday night when she took to Twitter to send a message to her big sister's famous ex-boyfriend.

"@jtimberlake Weird hearing ur music as an Adult," wrote aspiring country singer, who turned 22 on Thursday and is newly engaged. "Ha. Not only do I appreciate it. I GET it. #jay #crymeariver #mirror."

In her late-night post – which referenced Justin's 2002 hit "Cry Me a River," a song about his breakup with Britney – Jamie Lynn uploaded a photo of the three of them together. In the grainy pic, they are in the back of a car, and Jamie Lynn, who was a pre-teen, is sitting on a curly-haired Justin's lap while Britney looked on.

While the photo was a sweet walk down memory lane – who can forget the denim-loving, "Mickey Mouse Club" duo's time together? – it seemed to have crossed enemy lines. Not long after it went up, Jamie Lynn, who clearly upset Britney's legions of loyal fans, deleted the post and replaced it with another one.

"I hope you all know that my tweets are only to support my sister @britneyspears – anything left over was to @jtimberlake," she wrote, tagging it #sisterlove and #4eva.

There was no comment on Twitter from Britney or Justin, the latter of whom was on Twitter around the time Jamie Lynn posted to send birthday wishes to his pal Pharrell Williams.

You have to love that over a decade after Britney and Justin split — with the "20/20 Experience" singer now married to Jessica Biel and Britney in a new romance with David Lucado — fans are still as passionate about them as after.
