Variety To Showcase Young Hollywood's 'Power'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (October 5, 2007) ¢€" Hollywood's hottest young stars will gather this weekend to show off their "Power."

Stars like Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Roberts, Andrea Bowen, Haylie Duff and more will join Variety magazine at the "Power of Youth" special event to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

More than 60 young actors who sit on Variety's Youth Advisory Board, chaired by NBC Universal Television's Ben Silverman, will spear head the "Power of Youth" campaign, which will include a live event and an online auction featuring unique packages and memorabilia donated by the Hollywood community.

The inaugural event is part of Variety's new initiative to reach out to Hollywood's next generation of entertainers, in the hopes of encouraging young people to become involved with humanitarian and philanthropic efforts.

As part of the event, Variety has partnered with Charity Folks to host a one-of-a-kind online auction with 100 percent of the net proceeds donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
