UPDATE (Thursday): 'Sex and the City' Is Back [MORE SPOILERS!]

NEW YORK, NY (September 20, 2007) Production began yesterday in New York on the big screen version of "Sex and the City," with a new announcement of the film's release date: May 30th, 2008.

Access can now confirm the following plot details about the film: the long-infertile Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is now pregnant! In a scene shot Thursday morning on the corner of 70th & Lexington at a restaurant called Luni, Charlotte and Big are coming out of the restaurant when Charlotte's water breaks. She tries to hail a cab, when Big throws her in his car.

Yesterday, although unconfirmed, an inside source has provided the following information to Access about the film's plot: Big and Carrie are moving in together and they are apartment-hunting in NYC. Also, we've been told that some scenes are being shot near Rockefeller Center at an auction house.

HBO released this first photo from the set, picturing Mr. Big (Chris Noth) & Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). Carrie is pictured holding an Eiffel Tower handbag, symbolic perhaps of the Paris setting where Big & Carrie last rekindled their relationship.

According to HBO: "Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are reprising their roles from the original HBO series. The show's longtime executive producer, Michael Patrick King, is set to write and direct. Additionally, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and Jason Lewis will return as the women's love interests. Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson ("Dreamgirls") has also joined the cast of the film and will play Carrie Bradshaw's assistant, a new character to be introduced in the film."

Access Hollywood has also obtained video from the set on the second day of shooting.

    the series that motivates me to be at my best in everything...my sooper favorite tv series, i even got attached to the story.the cast were awesome and the best..truly an ward winning tv series..hope to see it in theaters soon.. to the people who worked behind sex and the city a big congratulations..you guys were the best!!!

    In a weird way I feel connected to the show. So much of the feelings expressed on the show were my own and I'm sure lots of others. I can't wait for the movie and to finally see big and carrie in a happy ending....and happily ever after. But....but...to be able to sit down on Thursdays and watch a new episode..I'd give my Prada bag for one more season. So excited for the movie, but so sad too

    My new husband and I watched" Sex and the the City" for four years starting when our marriage started. it was something we did together as newlywed strangers in in new land(Canada). When the show ended coincidentally so did our marriage eventhough i was deeply in love.Seeing the movie will be bittersweet. Karla
