The Hoff Reportedly Returning For Knight Rider Sequel

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (November 21, 2007) -David Hasselhoff could be back behind the wheel of KITT, or at least making appearance in the movie.

The original star of the classic television show is reportedly in talks to reprise his career-defining role Michael Knight, according to a report in the

NBC is developing the "movie/backdoor pilot", "Knight Rider," which is billed as a sequel to the popular 1980s show.

The new "Rider" incarnation will centers around Mike Tracer, Michael Knight's son, who did not know his father, played by Justin Bruening. The movie will also co-star Deanna Russo, from "The Young & the Restless," starring as Sarah, the daughter of KITT inventor.

The plot of the movie is said to begin with Sarah recruiting Mike to help search for her missing father with the help of the famous talking car.
