PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- A year ago, Suzanne Somers lost her Malibu home to a fire that blazed through the town.

Luckily, she and her husband were able to seek refuge at her Palm Springs Home. But now that home is up for sale and Suzanne revealed to Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell what exactly $27.5 million will get you.

"Why sell now?" Nancy asked Suzanne.

"I think it's all about the fire. I think the house in Malibu burned down and we just decided to have a different life. A sexy, glamorous life, but more paired down," Suzanne said.

Suzanne and her husband, Alan Hamel, bought their 73-acre Palm Springs mountainside sanctuary over 30 years ago - the same year they got married.

The couple calls their French villa "Les Baux de Palm Springs," which means the beauty of Palm Springs.

"It's like buying a little piece of France," Suzanne added. "That's what it feels like there."

The villa features over 9,000 square feet of space, including an outdoor amphitheater, swimming pool, six fireplaces and a wine cellar.

Suzanne and Alan call it their own little "slice of heaven on earth."

"This house is so fantastic. It has nine bedrooms. Each one is like a separate cottage. It's like an inn in the south of France.

And whoever the buyer might be, the house also comes with a celebrity neighbor - Suzanne's nearest neighbor is Barry Manilow.

But whenever they do sell the property, Suzanne and Alan won't be far away. The couple is building another home on an adjacent parcel of land - just 50 acres smaller.

But it won't be ready for another two years.

"You'll be neighbors to whoever buys this house," Nancy joked.

"We will. See, that's what you get too!" Suzanne laughed.
