Star Jones Files for Divorce

Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband of three-and-a-half years, Al Reynolds, "Entertainment Tonight" reports.

She filed March 26 in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, according to "ET."

"Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life," she tells "ET" in a statement.

"A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts."

"I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."

I do think the wedding meant more to Star than the marriage. I do wish them both all the happiness and hope they can get through this with very little bitterness

divorce is never a happy time and star is going thru alot of pain and embarrassment now i have always felt her husband was gay and i have never been a fan of star but she is a human being who is in pain now for that i am sorry

(In all thy getting, get understanding). some people is in love with the idea of a lavish wedding and being married not the commitment it takes to make it work or even last. Marriage requires unity not just popularity.

I have read all of the comments about her, and him. Whatever his gender, they were once happy together. This can happen to anyone,even the folks who wish to point and gossip . I wish them BOTH the best sincerely. Why in the world does this country always try to figure out who is sleeping with whom?

I agree with coffee and crean, I believe she was more in love with the wedding than the actual marriage, personally, they never seem to "gel" with me and that what makes this situation sad, especially, after all the lavishness!
