Shia LaBeouf Talks Avoiding The Paparazzi, Those Rihanna Rumors & Switchblades

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Shia LaBeouf is a fast rising star in Hollywood and he's set for an even higher profile when "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," hits movie theaters later this month.

But even before the "Indy" hoopla can begin, the former "Transformers" actor admitted to the June issue of GQ magazine, that he already has paparazzi at the end of the street. To avoid them, LaBeouf said he is considering challenging snappers to a host of games.

"I figure I could make a sports contest. Like, if I beat you at this push-up contest, maybe you'll leave me alone today," the actor said. "I don't know. It might be douchey, I guess."

In the frank and candid article, LaBeouf said he stays out of the paparazzi glare, by hanging with his childhood friends from the Echo Park district of Los Angeles and doing normal things.

"We go to comedy clubs, hang out in people's houses, and watch games," LaBeouf said. "We're sports fanatics. Occasionally - I think occasionally - for a friend's birthday, we'll go to a strip club. It's not like we're terrorizing the town you know?"

Though LaBeouf has been friends with his gang since his youth, they were shocked when rumors surfaced last year, that he was dating R&B singer Rihanna.

"My friends were like, 'Are you serious, bro? Are you f****** kidding me? Why didn't you tell me about that?' I was like, 'I really don't know her like that,'" LaBeouf explained. "For weeks they were singing that 'Umbrella' song everywhere I walked. And those are my people."

He may not admit to having engaged in a relationship with Chris Brown's new squeeze, but the actor told GQ he has fallen for several of his co-stars.

"Oh, I've been in love with every woman I've ever worked with," LaBeouf said of ladies including Megan Fox, Sarah Roemer and Michelle Monaghan. "But some aren't available. And then there's the three-month attention span that actors have, you know? I don't know if it's mutual, but I really don't care. They have to kiss me when 'action' gets called, anyway, so I'll get what I want."

Whether he gets to kiss any girls in "Indy 4" however is still up in the air considering a blackout was put on the entire cast and crew. One thing LaBeouf did reveal though, is that the movie got him in incredible shape.

"I'm like 15, 20 pounds lighter than I was doing 'Indy 4,'" he told the magazine. "I've never worked so hard for anything in my life, prep wise. I did four months of sword fighting and bike training. And I spent insane amounts of time on the switchblade."

And his hard work paid off among his co-workers including Harrison Ford, who told GQ, Shia was great in the film.

"He was unafraid, unabashed," Ford said. "And so straightforward to work with. There was never what I suppose you could call 'acting s***.' We never took time out to correct 'acting.' For me, he's the best sort of actor to work with."
