Sarah Jessica Parker's Arresting Paris Visit

PARIS, France (July 24, 2007) - Sarah Jessica Parker found big trouble in Paris.

In handcuffs, video showed the star pleading to officers in French, for stealing. She was then taken into custody.

But, SJP did not commit a felony. In the video, shown on our show today, Access gave you your first look at Sarah Jessica's stylishly arresting commercial for her second fragrance, Covet!

The French rolled out the red carpet for SJP's shoot. She was allowed to film at the historical Place Vendome, which was all cleared out. She also wore a custom dress, designed by Christian Lacroix.

"This dress in particular when we saw the photographs of the collection we thought that would be amazing," Parker said. "It's real couture we're in Paris and we're standing in an iconic location."

The ad spot features SJP on a romantic, Parisian rainy night, trying to steal a bottle of Covet from an opulent store display.

"We wanted to illustrate this idea of this desperate need for something," Parker explained.

The director inspired Sarah Jessica to smash open the display, behind which shelved the fragrance, with forceful kicks. After that feat, she seduced the officers in flawless French, though the actress herself does not speak the language fluently.

    Ok wat now, was it a commercial shoot? You know some of this stuff is stupid. I bet they'll report when a celebrity has the runs or something it really is stupid. But they know we love to read it!
