Rosie O'Donnell: 'I Was Drinking Too Much'

By Access HollywoodFebruary 7, 2008, 10:17 am PST

Rosie O'Donnell, the always outspoken comedienne and former talk show host, has quit drinking - and she's talking about it on her blog.

Rosie, who is known to write about very personal things on her blog, told her readers she had recently lost weight by giving up beer.

This prompted one of her devoted readers to write in and ask, "So Rosie, Alcoholic or NOT? Just spit it out! Don't go all Star Jones on us here. What led to you stopping the Beer? You'll only help someone else. "you felt it was time"WHYinquiring minds"

Keeping with her trademark blunt honesty, Rosie responded with, "'Cause I was drinking too much, 'cause I didn't want to any more, 'cause it is hard to lose weight when drinking, 'cause I can never have only one."

Once upon a time in this great country of America people were moral and upstanding. They were also noble, a word never used in our society any more. It has no value in this new America. Homosexuallity is disgusting,in and of itself. It holds no purpose other than domination of another person. There is no love involved. Why would you embrace this self center act for? Dumb white women.

Blah! Blah! Blah! Ginger...We're all human beings, with the same body parts, different for men and women, but still the same. We're "Mere Mortal's" on the planet. When you quote things that were written thousand's of years ago, to back up your fact's, it shows us how weak you are as an individual in this society Our Creator is the &q

Rosie, I know you won't read this what with the time involved with the children you take care of, and doing a fine job, I hear. You're an empassioned woman with a lot of love to give and you direct it towards the children. That's good. Proud of you.

I am completely appalled at some of the comments that have been posted here. I completely understand and agree with the fact that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if that means you are against someone simply because they are homosexual or over weight. But please, be respectful in the way you communicate that. It's called mutual respect for human life.

Many of you remark on her "hate" (by which you mean her wonderful, intelligent outspokenness) but my God, the hate and filth that spews from your own ignorant, gay-bashing, looksist, bigoted so-called brains! You're so eager to give your "opinions" on line, and you can't even spell them! You Rosie-bashers are a JOKE and your outpourings are ludic
