Leonardo DiCaprio already had a pretty good showbiz resume by the time "Titanic" came out, with flicks like "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," "The Basketball Diaries," and "Romeo + Juliet" under his belt by 1997 (not to mention a stint on the sitcom "Growing Pains" in the early '90s). But once the world got to see DiCaprio as the poor-but-charming Jack who gives his life in the name of love, he shot to international superstardom at age 23.
