  I am grateful for American Idol for giving us artists like Daughtry and Kelly Clarkson. Without American Idol, we'd miss out on some really great talent. I mean, you can say whatever you want about whoever you want, but there's no denying they are talented musicians.

  What's with the sour grapes over Taylor's win? Chris "lost" but has been FAR more successful. Taylor is appearing at the opening of Ford dealerships and shopping malls. Chris is selling tons of records and touring like mad. Taylor had a certain mass appeal that won out over pure talent. AI doesn't bat 1000; in fact they bat 300. Carrie, Kelly, and Chris are the only big AI successes.
