Redford is about as 99 percent as Donald Trump with his thousand dollar vest.......barf...

I am scrounging around for change to feed myself this morning...wonder if or when the last time Redford did that was?? Deluded bunch of folks...really...

I respect his work and am grateful for the Film Festival or anything good and entertaining that may come out of the film industry. (Rare indeed since the business of stardom most times is too busy managing an image to make good films) As silly as we are in the real world out here we see through those fig leaves...even some of us um...."dumb ones" who watch Transformers.

I totally respect Mr. Redford as an actor and director....but shut your mouth...you can feed your kids and a neighborhood full....don't speak for us...unless you want to come to my house and stock my fridge....that is if you can see through your own mushroom cloud of ego to make your way down to the hood where I live...

If it wasn't for a film like Transformers that takes the edge off the seriousness of life these days...some of us would off ourselves...so the silly film does it's job..makes a lot of folks happy. Keeps kids minds and yeah..even some adults minds off the fact that they are eating Ramen Noodle Soup AGAIN.

Politics is politics and separatism separatism..and you just put all you "Hollywood brats" in a more "smarter than thou" place...What's the difference between Redford and Romney when anyone does that...totally out of touch.

Not that I don't agree with Redford on as far as Romney goes. he is so out of touch he probably still watch's old westerns...all that new fangled Hollywood stuff and all...doubt if he "gets it"....so you won't have to worry about him showing up...

You lost my respect Mr. Redford ...making it seem as if you are some kind of "class" other than the anyone who may watch Transformers...was that really necessary? Go make films...and make some good ones so we don't have scrounge around like "change" to find anything worth watching....be that 1 percent...otherwise hush your mouth.

I think that he's rich and still cares about the 99% is a beautiful thing. Look at our president, he's absolutely being fed and he cares about us too...

I wish actors would just stick to their craft and not insert themselves into politics. They do not live in the real world and their opinions are worthless.

He's a US citizen and his opinion is as valid as any. Just because he has more people listening to him doesnt mean he can't speak his mind. I wish people would stop saying what you just said above, but you are also entitled to your opinion.

It's amazing that a US citizen can call another citizen's opinion worthless simply because they are wealthy and/or famous. How closed-minded. In addition to that, their craft is a means of expression--just like any art form. If Robert Redford wishes to use his craft--or his own festival--to express his political opinion, then he has every right to do so. His opinion is worth just as much as yours.

Speaking of "mushroom cloud of egos", isn't this the pot calling the kettle black?
