"Sopranos" star Edie Falco participates in storytime at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Carnival. The event is named in memory of AIDS activist Elizabeth Glaser, who contracted HIV through a blood transfusion while giving birth to daughter Ariel. Both Elizabeth and Ariel succumbed to the disease.

What happened to Elizabeth and Ariel Glaser was a tragedy. Paul Michael Glaser has to live with what happened to them, and his own helplessness at being able to help them, for the rest of his life. The Pediatric AIDS Carnivals raise money and awareness to help prevent other families being torn apart like that, and everyone should do their part.
