And while neither has ever admitted to a real romance, they have talked about the obvious chemistry between them. During an interview with Barbara Walters in 2011, Cowell said they truly disliked each other at the start of the show, attributing it to “sexual tension – on her part.” When asked if he ever wanted Abdul, he replied confidently, "I considered it, but then I thought ...
