Stars sentenced to community service

On Thursday, British actor Russell Brand was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and pay a fine of $500 stemming from a charge that he angrily grabbed a photographer’s iPhone out of his hand and threw it through the window of an office building in New Orleans. On Thursday, British actor Russell Brand was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and pay a fine of $500 stemming from a charge that he angrily grabbed a photographer’s iPhone out of his hand and threw it through the window of an office building in New Orleans. Brand won’t have to do any hard labor, however, and will instead work with a non-profit which helps people with addictions. If he completes the service, the misdemeanor will be subsequently tossed out (kind of like that iPhone). (6/10/2012)
