  Yes, it is a nice thought to donate phones to those in Iraq, but unfortunately it would do no good. There is no real service out there, so it would be entirely too difficult (if not impossible) to get the cell phones up and running.. Not to mention, the military likes to keep their soldiers focused and they are worried that cell phones and stuff will draw attention away from their mission at hand.
