In mid-2007, during a night out at a nightclub, Britney met a man who would allegedly end up controlling her under the guise of being her manager: Sam Lutfi. Not much was known about their strange relationship at the time, until late January 2008, when a sobbing Britney was photographed sitting on a curb outside her house after she reportedly jumped from a car driven by Lutfi following a fight. After Jamie Spears was granted conservatorship of his daughter, he slapped Lutfi with a restraining order. Britney’s mom Lynne later claimed in a book that Lutfi had crushed pills into Brit’s food and kept her consistently drugged, which he denied. These days, Lutfi still seems Britney-obsessed. In the bio section of his Twitter page, he writes, “Love challenges eg: helped save the life of an incredible pop star.” He also seems to be still very much involved with celebrities, at least on Twitter, where he re-tweets messages of support from Courtney Love, Perez Hilton, and Roseanne Barr. less
