LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Following a swipe at Taylor Swift on Wednesday before her big night at the CMA Awards, where she walked away with the Entertainer of the Year trophy, Wynonna Judd is apologizing to the 19-year-old singer.

Prior to the ceremony, Wynonna questioned if Taylor was too young to be nominated for such a prestigious award, telling USA Today that it was "too much, too soon ... Time is God's way of keeping everything from happening at once. It's just too much of a good thing soon ... I want kids to earn it."

But on Thursday, the 45-year-old Judd apologized for her remarks.

"I understand that my comment about Taylor Swift's Entertainer of the Year nomination came across as a negative statement. My intent was not to take anything away from her talent and contributions to the country music industry... all of which are truly unprecedented for an artist of ANY age," she said in a statement posted on her Web site.

"Taylor is a beautiful, hard working young woman that deserves the success she has had," she continued in the statement. "And I support her as an artist and as a woman in the business."

I love Taylor Swift but lets face it, she can't hold a candle to Carrie underwood. In order to be a great singer, you have to sound as good without all the background singers as you do with them and Taylor does not. She can write songs but they sound like bubble gum music. Anyway that is my opinion. you don't have to agree. She has a great fan base, that is why she won.

What she stated was that it was "too much too soon", I understand what she means. I mean what now??If you win the biggest award, what is there to keep working towards? Plus, I've seen her in person, and the poor girl can't sing! She can write, I give her that, but she sucks when it comes to singing!!! There were many more entertainers that deserved the award.

Why can't entertainers or women in general just be happy for another human being. There is always going to be somebody prettier, smarter, more talented, skinnier, than you, why not embrace the beauty in it. That is why we are all not clones. Taylor has been so mature and gracious thru out all the controversy from her peers.

it's not like they just give those out to whoever, there's major organization and a huge amount of professionals that know what they're doing when they pick the winners of the CMAs. People aren't getting that she won Entertainer of the YEAR. meaning, this YEAR she was the best entertainer. this isn't saying that she's way better than the other nomin
