Hollywood's most infamous cheater, Jesse James--is getting sick and tired of people giving him a hard time for being a cheater. And he might just have a point. But for a few reasons, this probably won't happen for a long time. We're pretty sure that ex-wife actress Sandra Bullock has moved on from her public split with the biker, but it seems that James is having a more difficult time doing so.
He keeps popping up to talk about his transgressions.
The worst thing you can do when you're trying to get people to forget the mistakes you've made is keep bringing attention to them. We're not really sure exactly who's seeking out Jesse's thoughts on the matter of "paying for his mistakes." But it seems that ever so often he'll appear in the media, exasperated because he's still a "hated man."
Kat Von D
Then there's the whole matter of his extremely public romance with tattoo queen Kat Von D. He attempted to convince the world that he and the reality star were a match made in Heaven. That might have been the case for a while, but their canoodling and endless Tweets professing their love were a little too much to bear. Moving on after a sticky divorce is normal, but rubbing your ex's nose in it by comparing her to your new woman isn't behavior that people particularly smile upon.
He keeps making the same "mistakes."
And since we're on the subject of his former fiancée---we could also infer that he's not learning from his mistakes. In November 2011, Kat Von D announced that he'd been unfaithful to her with at least 19 other women; somehow we weren't surprised. This discovery only further convinced the world that the motorcycle mogul had not changed a bit.
Is it possible for us to forgive Jesse James? Absolutely. The only problem is that he doesn't owe us an apology. And whatever "price" he's been paying for his infidelities is also none of our business. But as long as we're reminded of continued wrongdoings, we'll continue to have a negative response. Plenty of people learn from their betrayals, albeit not in the public eye. But even celebrities are capable of solving their personal problems in private. Perhaps if Jesse's path to redemption were a little quieter, we'd learn to forgive and forget.
