Whitney will join an illustrious season of guest performers that have included Susan Boyle, Michael Buble and Taylor Swift. This season - the ninth in the show's history -- has had a host of special moments including their tributes to Patrick Swayze and Michael Jackson, who both passed away earlier this year.

It was not clear which song Whitney would be performing on the Season Finale. Whitney, however, is currently promoting her comeback album, "I Look To You."
