This week on TVGuide.com's mobile app, guest curator Mike Proulx offers his picks for the best shows television has to offer.

Proulx is a senior vice president and director of digital strategy at advertising agency Hill Holiday, where he focuses on cross-channel integration and social media. He is the co-author of Social TV, about engaging television audiences through the Internet, mobile apps and social media. Proulx also conceived, produced and co-hosted the TVnext summit in the winter of 2011, which brought together TV industry luminaries, and hosts the social TV web series The Pulse on Lost Remote.

Proulx's favorites include Touch, Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother.  Of HBO's Game of Thrones, he says: "I am not into period pieces or fantasy, but when I finally sat down to watch the first episode, man, I was hooked. I actually watched the entire first season in one weekend, because I couldn't stop watching it."

He also talked about his unique personal connection to Saturday Night Live.

"I absolutely love Weekend Update," Proulx tells TVGuide.com. "And it's not just because Seth Meyers' mom was my middle school French teacher."
