George Clooney returned as Dr. Doug Ross on Thursday's
ER. Original cast member Julianna Margulies also reprised her role as his wife, nurse Carol Hathaway.
On last night's show, Dr. Ross tried to persuade a grandmother (guest star
Susan Sarandon ) to donate the organs of her grandson to save two ailing patients. In the end, the hospital ends up getting her consent.
