    Don't believe la rumeur!

    Vanessa Paradis has broken her silence about a recent magazine cover story claiming she and Johnny Depp were living separate lives on separate continents after nearly 14 years and two kids (Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9) together.

    The French singer-actress, 39, finally slammed the breakup rumor on Wednesday while promoting her new film Cafe de Flore on French TV show Grand Journal. "Yes it's false - of course it's false!"

    "People say we are buying houses in the middle of nowhere, or that we have fifty two houses in France," the star said of rampant rumors about life with Depp, 48. "All [of those rumors are] not too serious, but this latest one is a rumor which could cause a lot of harm to my family and my children."

     "These magazines end up in the fireplace or the toilet," she added of the recent cover story.

    Dating since 1998, Depp and Paradis have never wed. "I'd be so scared of ruining her last name. She's got such a good last name," Depp joked back in 2010.

     "I never found myself needing that piece of paper," the Rum Diaries star explained. "Marriage is really from soul to soul, heart to heart. You don't need somebody to say, okay you're married."

      Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors. Im glad they are still together. Every couple has their days or sometimes it can last for weeks....but Im glad they are still together

      She's actually quite stunning and talented. This pic doesn't do her justice. So she has a gap! It's so minor compared to her vibrant green eyes, killer cheek bones, and the fact that she's been Johnny Depp's woman for 14 years and children! Probably got some personality there too!

        The dental issue is so easily solved. It puzzles us as to why a woman with all the bucks in the world would tolerate this. Our standard of beauty in the USA sadly involves unflawed teeth. I believe Madonna finally got hers fixed, unless she just puts in a denture when photographed here.

        Celebrities put themselves out there and are free game. Their lives we pay for, as for them chosing to breed or adopt and live in the lap of luxury, that's nothing to do with us. You are just another naive, living in the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Face the facts. They love positive PR. What??? They don't like negative PR? Booo....hooo.

      A lot of the news you read is gossip only, not truth at all. And, I really don't think it's up to the person in question to set the record straight. Keep them guessing, the truth will show itself sooner or later and then the idiot that wrote the story will have egg on their face.

        At one time I was a People reader but sadly this magazine started to print lies just like the Star the Enquirer and all this Raunchy magazines to make money
        I stop buying in to the lies. why would they want to destroy peoples life by fabricating all this lies to the amusement of others

      That is good news! These magazines are like a bulldog with a bone! Once they get a hold of a rumor they will not let go They will keep making up 'a close source' statements until they ruin a perfectly good relationship with rumors!
