Valentine's Day is the time for love. Celebrities look for love just like the rest of us. Over the years, some celebrities have gained fame for finding and losing love more than others. A number of famous actors and actresses have been married so many times that they helped create the myth that Hollywood love never lasts. While there are plenty of marriages that have stood the test of time, the celebrity community can thank these five people for the bad rap that Hollywood romance has. Here are the five celebrities that are famous for their failed marriages.

Elizabeth Taylor

Taylor is an iconic actress that gained later fame as an activist and jewelry expert. But to most people the first thing that comes to mind about the "Cleopatra" star is the fact that she was married eight times. Her longest marriage was to fellow actor Richard Burton. She actually married him twice with the first lasting 10 years. Taylor's first marriage was to hotel heir Conrad Hilton, Jr.

Zsa Zsa Gabor

Gabor has been married a total of nine times. She was once married to Conrad Hilton, Sr. He was the father of one of Taylor's exes. Gabor has been divorced seven times and had one marriage annulled. She has been married to her current husband since 1986. That proves that a successful marriage can be found even if it takes nine tries.

Mickey Rooney

Rooney was a top box office draw in the 1940s. Naturally that enabled him to date any woman he wanted. He was married a total of eight times, including three times in the 1940s. His most famous ex-wife is actress Ava Gardner. Four of his marriages didn't make the five year mark.

Lana Turner

The 1950s actress was married eight times, including twice to Stephen Crane. None of her marriages lasted five years. Strangely, the most famous Turner relationship involved a man that she didn't marry. She once dated hot-tempered Hollywood gangster Johnny Stompanato. The relationship ended when her teenage daughter killed him following an argument between the lovers.

Larry King

The retired talk show host has been married eight times. Like Taylor and Turner he was married to someone more than once. He was married to former Playmate Alene Akins two different times. He has been married to his latest wife since 1997. The two nearly divorced but called it off in 2010. Through all of his marriages, King has a total of five biological children.
