Tyra Banks attends Us Weekly's 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2008 at the Hudson Terrace on September 12, 2008 in New York City.Us Magazine
"You walk the streets of New York and people see you - you gotta look cute," host and honoree Tyra Banks told Usmagazine.com on the red carpet. "I try to make sure it's foolproof.
"That's why I decided to host this - because I feel like in New York, you have to be popping," she added. "Even a simple black dress, you have to do that here.
"There's no excuse to not look right," Banks told Us. "If you catch me looking busted, I deserve the worst dressed list."

Other honorees like Kelly Ripa, The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck and designer Tommy Hilfiger talked to Us about NYC style.
"I think fashion is something that tells a story," Hasselbeck told Us. "Personal style is so important.
"It's such an honor, heck!" she said of being included on Us' list. "I'll take it!"
Live co-host Ripa, who said Us Weekly is "the bible," told Us that Banks is "very glamorous and so beautiful."
Hilfiger agreed. "She was one of my models in the '90s," he told Us. "We've always had a great relationship."
