UPDATED: Howie Mandel Did Not Have Heart Attack, Despite Online Reports

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Despite online reports that he might have suffered a heart attack in Toronto, "Deal or No Deal" host Howie Mandel is fine.

"Howie is in the hospital being monitored for an irregular heartbeat but doctors expect him to be released and back to work tomorrow," his rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

"He did not have a heart attack," the rep continued.

A source told Access that a high priority call was made around 7 PM to take an individual to the hospital for a fainting episode.

Toronto police confirmed the call, telling Access it happened at 7:07 PM from the Sheraton Centre Plaza. An ambulance was sent to the hotel and the person was taken to a local hospital. The police said the call came through 911.

Howie is a native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

His latest unscripted television program, "Howie Do It," premiered last Friday on NBC.

    poor howie, it does suck, to have this condition. i have been suffering from an irregular heart beat for years, and after a severe cardiac episode, it was confirmed that this condition (mine) is caused by a dangerous amount of calcium going to the heart(not caused by drugs, i've never done them) . having this conition(hypercalcemia) is easily managed with blockers , its not so scary.

    Why assume everyone is doing drugs? Not everyone does drugs & if they do they are old enough to know the consequences. I love Howie & I am sooooooo glad he did not have a heart attack. I know what its like to have an irregular heart beat, and its not a good feeling. (I have never dones drugs either).
