LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- After reports surfaced late on Sunday claiming that David Hasselhoff was taken to the hospital Sunday night for alleged excessive drinking, a source close to the actor tells Access Hollywood an ear infection is to blame.
Early Monday, TMZ reported that Hasselhoff's 17-year-old daughter, Hayley Hasselhoff, became alarmed about her father's alleged drinking and called her mother, Pamela Bach, claiming that the "America's Got Talent" judge was extremely drunk. A friend of Pamela's then reportedly called 911 and paramedics came to Hasselhoff's home in Encino, Calif., and took the actor to the hospital.
