Ortiz told Us she was "surprised to learn that [Lohan] is really funny.
"We did some improv stuff, and she just fell right into it," Ortiz said. "She threw in some off-the-cuff lines I was really impressed!"

Lohan, who will appear on a few episodes of the show this season, plays Kimberly, "an old high school mate of Betty's who tortured her," Ortiz said.
Years later, the tables have turned: Kimberly is down on her luck, while Betty [America Ferrera] works at a glam fashion magazine.
The third season of Ugly Betty premieres September 25.
