LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- U2's next album may be called "No Line On The Horizon," but now, there's an end in sight for the long-awaited follow-up to 2004's multi-platinum "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" -- "No Line" will be released on March 2, 2009, the band announced on Thursday.

It's the twelfth studio album for the veteran rock act, and it required trips to four studios - in Fez, Morocco; in the band's own studio in Dublin, Ireland; in New York's Platinum Sound Recording Studios; and at Olympic Studios in London, where the set was finalized.

In addition, three of the band's longtime producers helped shepherd the album - Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite, who have collectively worked on such U2 albums as "The Joshua Tree," "Achtung Baby" and "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb."

"Bomb" has sold over 9 million copies and landed the band 8 Grammy awards.

Every band or artist has their time and this album shows that even U2 will run out of steam. Its time for them to go away and try to leave with some dignity.

I've listened to it several times now and its just not what I know they are capable of. They got three of their past best producers on it but the range of songwriting, particularly in the lyrics area, is lacking. Its repetitive in scope to albums of recent years.

No Line on the Horizon.. thats a beautiful title. Has anyone heard Mercy yet? Thats excellent. I believe 3-4 songs leaked when bono blasted them in his apartment in Paris. lol. Serious go see at you tuble. Its all over. And its not like we aren't going to buy the CD!! I think that leak was a really good idea if he planned it. The recordings have listeners talking and admiring already. NICE
