NEW YORK, New York -- Tyra Banks may have gone from model to reality TV mogul, but she isn't quite where she wants to be.

"I wish I was more of a diva," Tyra told Tuesday's "Nightline" while talking about cast changes on "America's Next Top Model." "I wish [I] was harder, I wish I didn't care so much about being the nice girl all the time. Because a lot of the time people can take kindness for weakness ... so I wish I had a little bit more 'oomph' in me."

In recent years, former "ANTM" judges Janice Dickinson and Paulina Porizkova haven't been shy about criticizing the model competition show's host, but don't ask Tyra why.

"I don't know," she told the TV news program. "Why do you think?"

And another question Tyra doesn't like to answer? The rumors about her romantic life.

"Oprah told me don't talk about your man unless you want the whole world in your business," Tyra recounted. "I said OK."

While she won't open up about her love life, she did reveal she hopes to have children one day.

"Sooner than later, definitely," Tyra said. "I have a lot of success and make a good living, but after a while you start going why?... I need to be able to share it with a family, and go to Toys R Us and buy a lot of toys for my child, you know what I'm saying? Like what is the point?"

But as for wedding bells, that's not something the superstar said she needs to hear.

"I don't have that 'Oh my god, I gotta get married!' thing," Tyra said. "If it happens, it happens, but it's never been like 'Oooo, I need to do that!' I don't know, it's a little difficult for me to understand, actually, when women really want to get married... I think it's because I'm a product of divorce, my parents divorced, so I don't understand that whole married thing when 70 percent of marriages fail and 50 percent of second marriages fail."

    Some say Diva is another word for %@!*#\gold digger, et al. You do not want that. There are far too many in your bus. that are. That applies to the male gender as well. It is what you do with your life or what you do with what you have, that makes you what you are or appear to be. Diva, could be one of them as well.
