    Tyler Perry Defends Casting Kim Kardashian

    Film fans raised a few eyebrows and their voices when it was announced that Kim Kardashian had landed a role in Tyler Perry's upcoming project "The Marriage Counselor," but the writer/director is standing by his casting choice and showering the bombshell with praise.

    "I wrote a role especially for her. It's a small role that she does a great job with. And I'm excited about it," Tyler told Access Hollywood over the weekend at the junket for his latest movie "Good Deeds."

    "I think it was a great experience for her and I think she was definitely supposed to be there," he continued.

    But does the media mogul see a blossoming big screen acting career ahead for Kim?

    "It depends on the role and the amount of work that she's willing to put into it," Tyler told Access.

    Adding, "She certainly has what it takes to make it happen."

    "Good Deeds," which Tyler is also starring in - along with Gabrielle Union, Thandie Newton, Rebecca Romijn and Eddie Cibrian - opens on February 24.

      This is a man that has cast people like Cicilly Tyson and Maya Angelou (sp?) in his movies. Now he casts some sex tape / playboy tramp? It was done for ATTENTION. When asked NONE of them can name their talent. To put that THING on the level of the amazing actresses he has cast in the past is a slap in the face to them. She's trash.

      I won't watch any more of this fool's movies. His taste is now questionable.

        Wow you guys sound like me, I can't stand her either never could.
        But as far as not watching Perry's movies anymore and him casting Kardashian as being the equivilent of "a slap in the face"...that's a little harsh.
        He's a buisness man, this was a buisness move.
        The tramp has fans (like me you wonder why) but she does, and she will bring in a demographic that would have never considered watching one of T.P. movies before. So there are alot of factors here but for the most part it's because of her following.

      Tyler has sold out and is only concerned with making money. The fact that he chose to have this trash in his movies makes me not want to watch any more of his movies. He could've found a better person to be in his movie. Shame on him for doing this.

      He "defended" her because he sees that her fan base are young naive teens and he wants a piece of that. I'll be amazed if he turns out a good revenue on THIS movie, but I really feel like he just inducted BOX OFFICE POISON.

      I guess Tyler Perry needed to get on the bandwagon like everyone else. This is a very talented man, what in the hell has he gone and done now. To associate himself with this tramp and to associate that shit head with the likes of Gabrielle Union, Thandie Newton, Rebecca Romijn and Eddie Cibrian. Oh no, I have lost all respect for him.       Been trying to post, no success, don't know why. Funny thing I did an experiment and posted comments with 'bad' and 'terrible' written on and my posts were visible. Anyone know why you post and the post is invisible? Anyway here's what I wanted to say:I will watch the movie THEN have an opinion of her acting. If she's good then she's good. If she's terrible....oh well, it happens. Otherwise I wish her the best.

      Tyler Perry is a businessman. He will do what he thinks will make him money. Kim is somehow a money magnet so he is taking advantage of that fact. He is guessing she will bring her young, white demographic to his project. No mystery there.
