‘Twilight’ Star Christian Serratos Says Goodbye with a Bejeweled Tribute

The Actress Who Played Bella’s Bestie Launches a Jewelry Line

    "Twilight" star Christian Serratos.

While everyone is buzzing about the "Twilight" saga coming to an end this weekend, one of the movie's stars is focusing on new beginnings. Christian Serratos, who has played Bella's best friend Angela in all of the vampire films is launching the Kisshy jewelry line. And it includes a special collection in honor of her blockbuster character.

Serratos Was Looking for the Right Time to Launch Kisshy

As Serratos explained in a recent exclusive interview, "I've been designing my own pieces for a long time. My mother's a jewelry designer so we knew at some point we were going to do a line and dive into the fashion world."

They just had to find the right time to make their move. As Serratos recounted, "The release of the jewelry line was something that I knew was going to happen at some point… We just didn't know when we were going to do it."

The End of 'Twilight' Is a New Beginning

Given the fact that the clock was ticking down on her life-changing film series, Serratos and her mother, Alicia, decided their moment had come. "With 'Breaking Dawn' coming out, and saying goodbye to this franchise and the character that I've been for so long, I just wanted to have add a little 'Twilight' in there. And I definitely wanted us to have a necklace or some piece that reminded me of that character - for me to still have 'Twilight' in my life."

    The Angela Collection Is Feminine

The result is a collection within their line inspired by Angela. While Serratos described the majority of the Kisshy line as having a "rock 'n' roll" feel, "Twilight" fans will quickly notice that an edgy vibe doesn't describe Serratos onscreen persona. She conceded, "She's very timid and meek and soft spoken."

As a result the earrings and necklaces inspired by her "Twilight" character have a unique feel. "But the Angela pieces are really girly and feminine, which is exactly how I feel Angela was."

Serratos Was Sad to Say Goodbye to 'Twilight'

So as Angela the character fades into the sunset, Angela the jewelry collection will live on. Serratos reflected on saying goodbye to the movies that made her a megastar, "It's tough. I didn't realize that it was all coming to an end until I sat there and watched the movie and I realized I wasn't going to come back and watch another one. We were wrapping it up and we were saying goodbye to all the characters. So it took a long time for it to hit me."

And Serratos admitted that she's feeling mixed emotions, "So I'm sad but I'm also really excited and really proud that I think we did these movies justice and I think we made these fans happy."

Check local listings to catch "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part II" at a theater near you. And visit the Kisshy website to see Serratos' entire line, including the Angela collection.
