HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- So, are supermodel Gisele Bundchen and injured New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady engaged, or not?

It depends on which Web sites you've been reading today!

Gossip site TMZ first reported on Friday that Tom popped the question to Gisele on Christmas eve on a private jet leaving from New Jersey's Teterboro airport.

E! Online corroborated that news today, writing, "E! News has confirmed that the benched New England Patriot popped the question to supermodel girlfriend Gisele Bndchen and she accepted." They further wrote about the same details that TMZ reported.

However, some newspapers and magazines were more skeptical.

The Boston Globe spoke with Tom's father, Tom Brady Sr., who said all of this was, "rumor, rumor, rumor ... We don't know a thing about it. Nobody told me. We talked to him and there's nothing to say."

The Boston Herald reported that the superstar couple was seen around town on Friday, but Gisele was not wearing an engagement ring.

The Herald spoke with Gisele's sister, Patricia who said in an e-mail that the rumors were "not true."

Us Weekly spoke with a source who said, "People close to him are saying it's just another rumor... Tom is in Foxboro with his team today and no one is congratulating him or anything."
The source also told Us Weekly that the airplane situation sounded "cheesy" and that it was not Brady's style.

People reached out to Gisele's rep who would not issue comment.

Access Hollywood reached out to a rep for the Patriots who didn't have any information about the rumors, but mentioned that Tom preferred to keep his personal life private. Access has not yet heard back directly from reps for Gisele.

Gisele and Tom have been dating since 2006.

    Does anyone realize (or remember) that Bridgett and Tom broke up before she knew she was pregnant? Obviously they decided not to get back together because a baby was conceived. Furthermore, noone knows what type of relationship Tom has with his son or with Bridgett as the mother of his child.
