Tom Cruise may be taking his last name too literally. The "Mission Impossible" star is cruising through his post-divorce days like a carefree teenager with no responsibilities.
Among the top digs on the of the toothpaste-smiled celeb is lack of face time with his six-year-old daughter Suri. After making a big splash of taking the junior fashionista on a private helicopter vacation and VIP Disney trip immediately after his split from Katie Holmes, the high-ranking Scientologist went MIA on his daughter and reportedly has not seen her in three months.
Though his rep defended him in a statement this week, calling his client a "loving, caring father" and assuring fans, "He'll be seeing her soon," his excuse that Cruise was too busy in England working on films fell flat given the action star's ability to fork over airplane fare for even just a short visit.
Worse, the "Last Samurai" actor is apparently living it up on weekends when he could be seeing Suri, reportedly hitting top London night clubs like The Box and going yachting in Croatia, according to In Touch magazine.
Of course, Cruise is not the only male celeb to flounder after finding himself alone.
"Anger Management" star Charlie Sheen plunged into a steep decline while divorcing his third wife Brooke Mueller. He lashed out at Chuck Lorre, the producer of "Two and a Half Men," and was bounced from his plum role as playboy bachelor Charlie Harper.
Around this same time, the actor started living with a model and porn star simultaneously, referring to the pair as his "goddesses." He also went on a manic spree, posting a video on You Tube that depicted him smoking cigarettes through his nose and making conflicting conflated statements on TV that he was a "warlock" with "tiger blood" and "a total bitchin' rock star from Mars."
Mel Gibson is also infamous for going a bit bonkers after his split from long-time wife Robyn, with whom he had four children. The "Mad Max" star began a romance with a Russian pianist named Oksana Grigorieva and had a fifth child with her. But the relationship ended badly with charges of physical abuse and incendiary phone messages that went viral. Gibson reportedly called his baby mama a "whore" and "mentally deprived idiot" who deserved to be hit.
