Tom Brokaw is in the hospital.
Today, the former NBC News Anchor began to feel light-headed after his appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe". According to a statement from the network, "On the set of Morning Joe this morning, Tom Brokaw felt light-headed. Out of an abundance of caution, he was taken to a hospital and is being evaluated."
Thankfully, Tom seems to be doing just fine. As he tweeted, "All is well Early AM I mistakenly took a half dose of Ambien and made less sense than usual. Made a better comeback than Giants..."
Tom is not the only high-profile figure to have landed in the hospital recently. Who else has been to the hospital?
Alicia Etheredge-Brown (Mrs. Bobby Brown)
This week, Alicia was rushed to the hospital after suffering a seizure that was reportedly caused by her diabetes.
As Bobby tweets, "The report that my wife was rushed to the hospital is true. She is recovering and is in good spirits and doing well. Please keep my family in your prayers,"
Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong
This week, Billie Joe was rushed to a hospital in Italy and had to cancel the band's show on Sunday. Today, bassist Mike Dirnt reveals that Armstrong had severe dehydration and a bad case of the flu that left him "vomiting profusely." Explaining why they had to cancel the concert, Mike remarks, "it's hard to sing while you're puking."
Dirnt also assured Italian fans that the band will reschedule their concert as soon as possible.
Last month, Philip was hospitalized for a recurring bladder infection. But he remained in good spirits both during and after his hospital visit. According to the senior staff nurse, "The duke was a very good patient, and as he left the hospital he told staff to behave themselves and he said he was going back to enjoy the rest of his holiday."
The Duke of Edinburgh has been (mostly) behaving himself since leaving the hospital. However, he does have one thing in common with his mischievous grandson, Prince Harry. This week at the Highland Games, Prince Philip wore a kilt that might have exposed a little too much!
