Tiffani Thiessen on Joining 90210 Spin-off: "I Don't Think So"

Is Tiffani Thiessen secretly yearning to return to 90210 as bad girl Valerie Malone?

"I don't think so, I mean I wish them all the luck, but I'm just so in a different place right now," Thiessen, 34, told Usmagazine.com at the Nike + Human Race in L.A. on Sunday. "You know, it's not that I don't look back at that show with wonderful, amazing memories, but I've just gone in a different direction for me. But I think it's wonderful."

When pressed further, Thiessen laughed, "I don't think so! I say that with a big smile! I don't think so!"

Shannen Doherty will reprise her role as Brenda Walsh on the CW's 90210 spin-off, while Jennie Garth, will star in several episodes as a high school guidance counselor. The first episode airs September 2.

Meanwhile, Garth recently said reuniting with Doherty (with whom she once got into a fistfight) wasn't "as bad as I thought it would be.

"Were both grown women, both professionals," she told TV Guide. "Once we were working, it felt like a good fit."

Thiessen echoed the sentiments: "I think a lot of time has passed, you know," she told Us. "I'm sure they had their talks between them, beforehand. I think it's great for them. They look beautiful and I'm sure it will be great."

Though Thiessen says she "never really knew Shannen," one person she is tight with is Jason Priestley.

"I'm really close with him and his wife," Thiessen said.

Priestley, who was also at the event, agreed: "Tiffani and I are very close, and always have been."

    She is smarter than that. Why would she? She is happily married and in a good place right now. Not that it should be the reason why she won't do it. She is just smart to leave the past in the past. She was classic on that show and she is smart enough to know that you can NEVER re create that show.
