Teresa Giudice continues to inspire ire on the reality show that made her famous. This week's episode of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" showed Tre's brother Joe Gorga urgently trying to contact her. Joe is desperate to make amends with his sister. The two have been feuding for the past year. Unfortunately, it seems like the writing is on the wall for their relationship.
Last week, Tre and two of her family members appeared on "The View." That seems normal for a reality starlet, right? What is not normal is the fact that the cookbook author refused to share a couch with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and her cousin Kathy Wakile. Tre said that she didn't want her first confrontation with them to be in public. Color us confused but aren't all of their disagreements in public?
Teresa's baby bro would like them to attend therapy together. The thoughtful plan to heal the relationship came from none other than Rich Wakile, Kathy's hubby. As one of their brother-sister confrontations last season led to the most disastrous christening since "The Godfather," we think that therapy is a darn good idea! Unfortunately, Tre does not.
"I don't need therapy," she told her frenemy Jacqueline Laurita on the last episode. "There's nothing wrong with me." Really? Is Tre watching the same show that we are?
If Tre and Joey decided to go to therapy, they wouldn't exactly be breaking reality TV ground. Therapists have become a staple of reality programs. Bethenny Frankel's weekly sessions with Dr. Xavier Amador were a key part of "Bethenny Ever After." Bethenny and Jason even took an ill-fated "therapy cruise" with the good doc and another troubled couple.
Over on the E! Network, Kourtney Kardashian also attends therapy on camera. Kourt is having issues dealing with her mother's infidelity revelations. As a young mom the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star can't understand why Kris Jenner damaged their family in that way.
Taylor Armstrong, formerly of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," also involved her therapist in the show. With a husband who committed suicide we're guessing that it was mandatory. The therapist even accompanied Taylor to a party and did an intervention on her friendships!
The Jersey "Housewives" are still in season so whether Tre buckles and goes for therapy remains to be seen. Know this, however, dear readers. Whenever any of us hear ourselves uttering the words, "I don't need therapy," we should think of Teresa and find help -- stat!
What do you think? Does Tre need therapy?
