So last night was the second part of the reunion special with the teen moms and everyone's favorite TV-doctor and father figure, the illustrious Dr. Drew. Believe it or not, the only people not mired in the drama were Barbara and Jenelle Evans. They actually had some nice things to say to each other that didn't involve screaming like banshees. That was nice to see. Progress, people.
On the other hand, the rest of the episode could be called "Your Cheatin' Heart" because everyone's cheating in the "Teen Mom" universe. Let's start with the love triangle between Kail Lowry and her baby daddy Jo, and new boyfriend, Jordan. Now, of course the girl should be confused. All girls that age are, but unfortunately she doesn't quite have the luxury of playing adolescent games anymore because she has a baby. It was a bit odd that Dr. Drew was almost pressuring her into having to choose one of these guys before the credits rolled. How about teaching the girl that she's okay without a guy in her life? It just might enhance her self esteem and prevent another pregnancy.
Speaking of those who need a shot in the ol' arm of self esteem, Chelsea Houska could use some. Shock of the century, there's still Adam drama, but she's been a little bit bad herself in the cheating department. These two are doomed. Time to be grown ups and move on.
A couple that maybe moved on too easily is Leah Messer and Corey Simms. Leah's abject immaturity showed like a beacon of light when her major problems with Corey stemmed from everyday adult life. You know, things like being tired after a long day at work. It's so sad to watch, because if these two had a decent marriage counselor, they could have worked things out. You can still see the obvious love there.
So that's it for this season of "Teen Mom 2"... MTV just announced a new "Teen Mom 3" coming up, so we'll definitely get to see more problems along the way.
