Newly-single BFFs Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez could spend Valentine's Day together singing "Single Ladies" at a karaoke club or watching a Ryan Gosling movie marathon while pigging out on the best chocolate that money can buy. But instead of trying to make themselves feel better about being boyfriend-less, they're both going to be working.
T-Swift recently talked to Ryan Seacrest about her Valentine's Day plans, saying that she might spend the day with her friends. However, she also said that she's going to spend the day rehearsing -- after singing a few sad breakup tunes about her exes on the romantic holiday, she might not be in the partying mood.
It sounds like Selena Gomez also isn't planning on enjoying a big girls' night out now that Justin Bieber isn't around to pamper her like a princess. Selena told "FuseTV" this about her plans: "No, I think I'm in the booth. I think I'm recording."
Hopefully Selena and Taylor change their minds and decide to party with British boy band The Wanted or something. They could try to replace Justin Bieber and Harry Styles at the same time, and they'd probably have a good time -- Lindsay Lohan knows how much fun Max George and his mates can be.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez aren't the only stars with depressing Valentine's Day plans -- some celebs with significant others will also have to suffer through the sickeningly sweet holiday.
Kate Middleton will reportedly spend the holiday with her father-in-law, which is just about as un-romantic as it gets. Kate's been busy cooking up a Valentine's Day menu for Prince Charles' annual charity ball, so the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is probably finding it hard to find time to plan something special for Prince William. But hopefully Will still surprises his worn-out wife with a gift she'll really enjoy like a relaxing spa day and some of the sweets her pregnancy is making her crave.
Reality show star Khloe Kardashian also won't get much romantic time with her hubby because of a Valentine's Day scheduling conflict. Lamar Odom will be playing a game in L.A. on the holiday, but Khloe told "E! News" that not being able to celebrate doesn't bother her.
"I wish people didn't put so much emphasis on that, there shouldn't be one day out of the year where you're like, 'Oh I love you let's go to dinner and have candlelight.' I want that to be like every day. And it should be." Preach it, girl!
Khloe went on to say that she and Lamar do get each other flowers or cards but that the holiday is "more mellow" for them. Hopefully she doesn't get too jealous when she sees the crazy Valentine's Day extravaganza that Kanye West will probably cook up for Kim Kardashian.
Isn't it nice to know that a few celebs will find Valentine's Day just as insufferable as some of us do?
