Yesterday on the "Today Show," Taylor Kinney talked about his role on "Chicago Fire," and his relationship with Lady Gaga.
Taylor came across as a relatively shy guy, and he kept a low profile about the relationship, even avoiding a few questions. When Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford asked about maintaining a relationship while she was on tour, Taylor joked, "She hasn't said anything, but she has a spaceship and she can get from A to B pretty quickly."
What did we learn about his relationship with Lady Gaga? Although he didn't have a whole lot to say, we get the sense that this is a healthy relationship.
1. This relationship is a case of opposites attracting.
We're not surprised that Gaga is dating someone so seemingly mild-mannered and unassuming.
Although she's known for her controversial statements and outrageous costumes, it makes more sense for her to be with someone more low-profile. Gaga and a male version of herself would potentially clash because of the conflicting strong personalities.
2. Gaga is proud of her boyfriend.
Hoda pointed out that Gaga had tweeted a promotion for Kinney's new series, encouraging fans to tune in. "I was surprised. I think she's proud of, you know, girlfriend being proud of her boyfriend. She's been to the set a couple times."
3. Taylor is not intimidated by his girlfriend's high-profile celebrity status.
When the ladies asked him about his experience dating such a style/music icon, Taylor responded, "I don't have that outside view. For whatever reason, it works. I'm a lucky guy."
4. Taylor is not a fan of TMI.
This guy didn't have a lot to say, but we actually respect him for it. He's not interested in airing his significant other's dirty laundry or going on a world TMI tour (I'm looking at you, Olivia Wilde)! He actually seems to have a level head on his shoulders and he respects his girlfriend's privacy.
Is Taylor a keeper? Do you think this relationship will last?
