By Access HollywoodJune 17, 2008, 9:49 am PDT

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- As California ushered in historic gay marriage changes Tuesday, Access Hollywood caught up with T. R. Knight and his boyfriend Mark Cornelsen at the Los Angeles premiere of "Get Smart."

"It's a wonderful day!" T.R. told Access regarding the start of gay marriage ceremonies throughout the state. "It's just, it's fair. And anytime that happens and anytime equality is present, it's a marvelous thing, and it's about time."

Not only is gay marriage a cause for celebration within the LGBT community, but also a proud moment for the whole nation, according to T.R.

"[Much of] our country's history is full of times of just horrible inequality. And anytime they right it, it's correct," the "Grey's Anatomy" actor added.

As for T.R. and boyfriend Mark Cornelsen heading down the aisle? The couple said they are taking their time.

"We've only been dating for about six months, so it's a little soon for that, " T.R. told Access.

When Access' Shaun Robinson pressed, asking how the date could be moved up, Mark responded with, "We'll see, we'll see."

"Thank God we have the pressure," T.R. said of the press continuing to ask about his marriage plans. "I'm happy for the pressure!"

Though the happy couple won't we walking down the aisle in the immediate future, T.R. said they already have one invite to a celeb gay wedding.

"We're going to Ellen and [Portia's] wedding. I'm really excited about it," T.R. told Access. "We got a little Save the Date card. They're such wonderful people! I'm honored we got invited."

But T.R. and Mark still need to find a wedding gift for the couple.

"We need to check out that bridal registry," Mark said.

Oh, dear Goddess, you self-righteous Christians... Don't you know that your bible is a work of fiction, and your beliefs and customs all STOLEN from pagans?! Do your homework, please, PLEASE get off your gilded soapboxes, and try this on for size: Live and let live... do unto others... etc. Love whomever you wish, do good works, keep your own house in order, and leave us the hell alone!

"DISGUSTING! Here are all the gays making a mokary of marriage. Shame on them!" Mary, you might want to focus more on your spelling and less on judging other people. You know, "Turn the other cheek" and all? Seriously, how could any halfway intelligent person thing "mockery" could be spelled "mokary?" And saying things lik

We Christians, while not choosing to live that lifestyle, should not take on God's role as judge and jury. They need love and respect, and as a woman and a minority, seeing the way people treat homosexuals is similar to slavery and really it's none of your business. If you don't agree don't go to the wedding, but they aren't asking you to be ok, they just

I think the people who make a mockery of the "sanctity" of marriage, are all the men and women cheating, swinging, getting divorced for the financial benefits or just because they don't want to do the work make a complete Mockery of marriage. Their unions should be acknowledged legally to prevent anything like families making choices after death that do not coincide with

Some of you may be fine with being surrounded by completely disruptive things - instead of the modest civilization we used to know, but I'm not. I agree with what "ms maam" said - marriage is a covenant to be shared between ONE MAN & ONE WOMAN. If our government keeps making exceptions - what's the point of having structure? There's NONE anyways
