Super Bowl commercials: Amy Poehler's gonna sell you a Best Buy cell phone

She's gotten engaged on "Parks and Recreation," she was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe, and she successfully co-hosted the Globes with BFF Tina Fey. And for her next trick, Amy Poehler's going to sell you a cell -- a cell phone, that is -- during Super Bowl XLVII.

Poehler will star in Best Buy's commercial, which will debut during the first quarter of the February 3 NFL championship game. The 30-second spot was recently filmed in Los Angeles.

Oscar nominee Bryan Buckley, who's directed more than 40 Super Bowl ads in the past decade (including ones starring Conan O'Brien, Burt Reynolds, Ozzy Osbourne, and Will Ferrell), helmed Poehler's ad, and while the commercial's theme is being kept hush-hush, a photo of Poehler on the set shows her standing amid rows of cell phones.

Director Bryan Buckley talks about his famous Super Bowl spots:

"Amy Poehler's Golden Globe performance left us all wanting to see more of her," Scott Durchslag, senior vice president of digital and marketing for Best Buy, told AdWeek.com.

"We are thrilled to feature her in our commercial this year and bring the public another dose of her unparalleled humor. We know people have high expectations for these ads, and Amy delivers a whole new dimension of entertainment."

The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII, which airs Sunday, 2/3 at 6:30 PM on CBS.

    • Runaway Mom Breaks Her Silence in an Interview with Dr. Phil

Runaway mom Brenda Heist is sitting down with Dr. Phil and breaking her silence in her first interview since abandoning her family 11 years ago. Heist vanished without a trace on February 8, 2002, after dropping off her two children, Lee, 12, and Morgan, 8, at school in Lilitz, Pennsylvania, leaving her husband, family, and suburban lifestyle behind. Police investigated her disappearance for more than a decade, until she surfaced in Key West, Florida, late last month. Heist told officials she had hitchhiked with other people, lived in a camper, in tents, and under bridges, and scrounged up whatever food she could gather from restaurants. Other reports are telling a different story, saying she found a boyfriend within a year of arriving in Florida and seemed to live a pretty comfortable life, including vacationing, eating out, and going to the beach. Dr. Phil interviewed the former missing housewife for nearly five hours in the Santa Rosa County Jail, where she is currently being held on outstanding warrants. Heist revealed she never could have imagined she'd be homeless, saying, "I've never even been around homeless people. Maybe see them on the street sometimes, but I've never been around homeless people at all. Never knew anything about it. That's why I had my own problems believing what I was doing. I just kept saying to myself, they're better off without me."
