    Starz cancels 'Boss' after 2 seasons

    CHICAGO (AP) — Starz television network has decided not to give Kelsey Grammer another term as mayor of Chicago.

    The cable network said Tuesday that it was canceling the drama "Boss" after two seasons. The show premiered to critical acclaim, starring Grammer as tyrannical Chicago mayor Tom Kane. The role earned Grammer a Golden Globe for best actor in a drama earlier this year.

    Starz says in a statement that although the network is proud of the show, it has "made the difficult decision to not proceed with 'Boss.'" The move was a flip-flop for Starz, which renewed the show for a second season even before its first season began.

    "Boss" also stars Martin Donovan, Connie Nielsen and Kathleen Robertson. Farhad Safinia is the show's creator and executive producer.

"There's so much negativity in the world, it doesn't need to be perpetuated." Baker also included an open letter to Jeffries on her website, the Militant Baker, criticizing the company for its narrow view of what beauty really is and promoting the idea that every size is beautiful. "The only thing you've done through your comments (about thin being beautiful and offering XL and XXL in your stores for men) is reinforce the unoriginal concept that fat women are social failures, value-less, and undesirable," Baker wrote. "Well, actually, that's not all you have done. You have also created an incredible opportunity for social change."
