LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The stars have gathered to remember Michael Jackson at the Staples Center in Los Angeles - and many are Tweeting through the tears.
"My family and I just took our seats here at the Staples Center," LeVar Burton Tweeted on Tuesday morning, and he wasn't the only one.

"At Staples Center paying respects," Nicky Hilton Tweeted.
John Mayer, who performed "Human Nature" at the memorial, Tweeted on Monday night that he wasn't going to "'perform' but to contribute."

"I'm honored to have been asked to play at MJ's memorial service. I will be representing all of us who can't be there," he wrote.
Other celebs were remembering Michael from elsewhere.
"Having been inspired by Michael is the reason why I cannot be there," Donnie Wahlberg Tweeted on Tuesday. "I have the honor of playing for our fans tonight instead. Full circle."

And watching the memorial from a tour stop was an emotional moment for Jordin Sparks.
"Oh my goodness, I'm already crying. 'We Had Him'... tears are pouring. Oh geez," she Tweeted.
Stars, speakers and performers sighted at the memorial included Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Usher, Lionel Richie, Brooke Shields, Wesley Snipes, Magic Johnson, Dionne Warwick, Larry King, Rev. Al Sharpton, Tatum O'Neal, Wade Robson and a visibly pregnant Jennifer Hudson.
