Kate Middleton and Kristen Stewart have a few things in common - they've managed to snag two of England's hottest men; they've both appeared topless on camera; and they are both dealing with photo scandals.
Of course their scandals are quite different - Kate was captured on camera sharing an intimate sunbathing session with her husband, while K-Stew was caught sneaking around with a married man. However, both ladies seem to be bouncing back fairly quickly after becoming front-page tabloid stories.
Will jokes about wardrobe malfunctions with his wife
Lawyers for Kate and Prince William are currently busy pursuing criminal charges against the French magazine that published topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge, but the royal couple seems to be putting the incident behind them during their Diamond Jubilee Tour of Southeast Asia. They've been photographed looking rather cheerful during their trip, and Will even made a joke about flashing flesh while the couple was climbing a towering tree in the Borneo rainforest. According to Us Weekly, Will said this to Kate while he was getting strapped into a harness: "Girls don't have the same wardrobe malfunctions as men do. I hope I don't have any wardrobe malfunctions."
Kate tries not to laugh at topless women
Kate also had a good giggle when she and Will were welcomed to Marau by a group of topless tribeswomen. While one of the islanders placed a garland over the Duchess' head, she was photographed trying to stifle a laugh. Perhaps she was thinking about how silly her photo scandal would seem to a tribeswoman who is topless all the time.
Kristen talks about Rob and topless scenes
Going topless is also no big deal to K-Stew, who talked about baring her breasts in "On The Road" at the Toronto Film Festival. The actress put on a brave face at the film fest, which was her first big public appearance since she was photographed getting cozy with director Rupert Sanders. And what better way to avoid cheating scandal questions than by talking about nudity? According to Access Hollywood, she said this about director Walter Salles making her feel comfortable with stripping down: "It didn't bother me. You can do no wrong with [Salles]. He puts so much inside of you." Try your hardest not to giggle at that last line.
Kristen did also talk about Rob while in Toronto, telling reporters that she and her "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" costar will be "totally fine" while promoting the last "Twilight" movie together. During the film fest, she was actually photographed smiling big and looking stunning, and there might be a reason for her cheerful demeanor - a source recently told The Sun that Rob has decided to forgive his girlfriend. The couple will allegedly work on putting this cheating scandal behind them by shacking up in a secret location in L.A.
Meanwhile Will and Kate will get a break from their own photo scandal by enjoying a second honeymoon at the Tavanipupu Private Island Resort. Surely Kate won't be doing any sunbathing during her stay.
Kristen and Kate have been doing their best to use public appearances put their scandals behind them, but do you think that their smiles are successfully convincing everyone else that their photos are no big deal and that it's time for the rest of the world to forget about them?
