Just in time for Veteran's Day, the rocker, comedian and news anchor have all signed up -- along with other comics and surprise guests -- to perform at "Stand up for Heroes: A Benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation" at New York's Town Hall Nov. 4.andnbsp; President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have also expressed their support.

Coinciding with the New York Comedy Festival, this is the third annual evening of music and comedy (past performers have included Whoopi Goldberg, Conan O'Brien and Regis Philbin) benefiting ABC newsman Bob Woodruff's charity, which has raised $6 million since its February 2007 inception.andnbsp; "We're helping injured service members return to a home front ready to support them," Woodruff says in a statement.andnbsp; "There's no greater way to honor them, and we're proud to do it together."andnbsp;

Woodruff himself was severely injured by a roadside bomb while reporting in Iraq in January 2006.andnbsp; "We are empowering local communities to take action to assist service membes and their families as they reintegrate home," says Rene Bardorf, BWF's Executive Director.
