Snoop Dogg to Bring Women's Football to L.A.

Leave it to Snoop Dogg to do something for Los Angeles that the NFL hasn't been able to do in 18 years. Bring back pro football.

Snoop told Yahoo! Sports on Saturday that later this year he's buying the L.A. team for the new Ladies Arena Football League. They will be called the L.A. Riders. He describes the new eight-team league as similar to the Lingerie Football League.

"A lot of beautiful girls playing football," said Snoop. "That's the closest thing we've got. Hopefully we can get a real NFL franchise to the city of L.A. because we deserve it."

Saturday in Indianapolis was a big day for Snoop on the field in the annual Direct-TV Celebrity Beach Bowl. He scored three touchdowns to lead his Palladia team to a 34-21 victory over team Spike. During the post-game interviews, he was given the traditional Gatorade shower by his teammates.

He described how he would celebrate his victory. "I'm going to get some chicken and waffles."

Be sure to check back for the full Super Bowl party lineup, including a Bud Light hotel concert featuring Pitbull, 50 Cent and Lil Jon that will stream on Yahoo! Saturday, February 4, at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.
