Simon Cowell Wants To Do Britney Spears ‘X Factor’ Announcement On ‘Idol’
A show insider confirms to HollywoodLife.com Britney Spears is indeed judging on ‘The X Factor’ next season, and executive producer Simon Cowell wants to announce it in the biggest way possible!
Simon Cowell is never one to do things half heartedly. The powerful British entertainment guru has successfully landed one of the world’s biggest superstars for The X Factor next season — and now he’s ready to make waves with the official announcement as well.
“The rumors are officially 100% true,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com. “She has signed the documents and the conservators have signed off on it as well.”
Adds our source, “Nothing has been set in stone, but I have heard the announcement may be made during a award show. However, if contracts can be signed fast, it would be on the finale of American Idol, since they are both on Fox.”
We can’t imagine the producers at American Idol would take to announcing anything of The X Factor on their show very well, considering Simon left his perch as judge there to develop The X Factor. However, an announcement this monumental on the finale of AI would be EPIC.
