LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Tens of millions of people have fallen in love with "Britain's Got Talent" star Susan Boyle after watching her performance of "I Dreamed A Dream" on YouTube, but judge Simon Cowell isn't convinced that the 47-year-old Scotswoman will win the UK reality competition show just yet.

"She has four weeks to prepare for the biggest night of her life, which is, she's got to sing better than she sang before," Cowell told reporters during Friday's NBC TCA panel for the summer launch of the new season of "America's Got Talent."

Simon said he was also tired of hearing stories about her Susan's life with her cat, Pebbles, and thinks it may sway others too.

"It could all go horribly wrong now because there's so many other distractions," he added.

But if she wins, Simon said she could be making an appearance on the American version of the franchise show.

"I think I would say to anybody who won the British show that we guarantee them now a spot on the American show," he said. "And I think that's a great incentive for the British winner now. So if it is Susan, yes."

Despite his caution, Simon was hopeful that Susan's sudden fame would help garner big ratings for the American version of the reality competition.

"I am seriously thinking now that we should hold maybe two more open auditions off the back of Susan Boyle since the awareness is that much higher," he said. "You don't have to be a singer who's 47 who's never been kissed, with a cat, just somebody who says, 'You know what? I think I could win a competition and I think I am talented and I don't think people are going to judge me because of the way I look.' So I think it's a positive thing for all of us."

But will America have an answer to Susan? Piers Morgan , a judge on both versions of the show, says yes.

"There's one guy who hunts chickens. And in fact, if all he did was come on stage and say, 'My talent is I catch 6,000 chickens a night,' he probably would have won the show. But his talent is he then sings like Garth Brooks," Piers said. "It is one of those moments when half the audience are in tears."

If nothing else, the show will have one fresh talent - new host Nick Cannon , who "America's Got Talent" judge Sharon Osbourne said brings something else to the table.

"It also helps that he's sexy and young," she said. "He's got a nice bum!"

It doesn't matter if she wins BGT or not because to0 many of us love her and want to hear alot from her. I realize she is not every persons cup of tea, however, I believe far more people love her than those who could care less. I have seen it over and over on American Idol contestants. The title is wonderful, but, does it guarantee stardom, no! Jennifer Hudson case in point!

Bring her to the U.S.A .... we already love her ! She does'nt have to step up anything .... she's fabulous ! What competition does she have .... none ..... that other act is a joke compared to her .... an act for the kiddie channel or disney maybe if they're lucky .... Susan will blow them away here in America ... by the screaming and standing ovations ... she already won .

Hey Renee P, I agree with you. She sings beautifully! It's so refreshing to hear a real woman's voice instead of the shipmunk sounding trashy whores like Spears and the like in the wasted spotlight! I hope she goes far in her career.

She is such a great change from the usual! I hope they don't talk her into a makeover. The way she looks is part of her winning style.

Have her sing "Cry me a River". I know she sang it 9 years ago for a charity event but if she sings it anything close to how she sounded then, it would be a smash hit. It is better then the Julie London version and is hauntingly, beautiful. I could listen to it over and over again!

It's all hype. The proof is in the pudding. Once the British talent show is over (win or lose), Susan can get her own recording contract and make it on her own, with the BUYING PUBLIC deciding what is good, not a panel of TV judges.
